We are actively recruiting a highly motivated and outgoing Business Development Director to continue the growth of our Workplace Interiors Market Sector in our Los Angeles location. This is a great opportunity to develop and grow business for a studio of creative and talented designers who are passionate about their work and ready to collaborate on a variety of projects in scale and scope.

 

Responsibilities

This new position will be ready to:

 

  • Build relationships within the corporate real estate and end user community to benefit the growth and development of the Workplace Interiors practice and the firm
  • Generate and secure new business by identifying and pursuing areas of opportunity in corporate real estate
  • Overall coordination and tracking of business development efforts in the Workplace Interiors Sector, and assisting with developing and executing a project pursuit strategy in collaboration with Workplace Interiors Sector leadership
  • Able to successfully identify and establish productive relationships with decision makers and influencers during the relationship development and project pursuit stages
  • Maintain an extensive network of industry contacts, actively managing appropriate, regular communication with those contacts; facilitates appropriate access to their network of industry contacts, in support of pursuit activities
  • Plan, coordinate and attend local and national industry events and conferences; facilitate high-visibility participation for Workplace Interiors Sector leadership
  • Develop and manage the Workplace Interiors Studio Business Development budget
  • Build strategic relationships and develop partnerships with a broad network of professional Contacts
  • Collaborate with other Corgan BD Directors and leadership to build and source National relationships and opportunities
  • Establish and maintain sound working relationships with clients and gains their trust and respect for repeat business
  • Provide input for proposal response and the creation of interview presentations

 

 

Qualifications

Qualified candidates already exhibit these strengths and talents:

 

  • Bachelors or master's degree in business, communications or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business development experience in AEC, real estate or related industry required
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and experience working with a CRM system to manage all BD efforts and communication of pursuits. Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
  • A professional appearance and confident presentation ability
  • Strong written and verbal skills and the ability to favorably represent the firm in the industry
  • Activate a degree of intuition and sound judgement when making quality decisions
  • Demonstrate high levels of critical thinking skills

Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually – Los Angeles locations only 

The estimate range represents the general base salary range of candidates hired in Los Angeles only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. In addition, base salary is not inclusive of total compensation.
