We are actively recruiting a Specifications Writer to join our Technical Design Services team in our Dallas office location.  This detail-oriented individual will work to uphold the highest quality standards for technical design and project specifications. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the design team to select appropriate materials and systems for various project types including commercial, healthcare, aviation, education and data centers
  • Writing project specifications from Corgan master specifications and compiling project manuals
  • Assisting design team with technical guidance during construction contract administration
  • Product research and evaluation
  • Technical design assistance
  • Construction contract administration support of design studio staff
  • Mentoring of design studio technical staff

 

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should be able to work independently, be meticulous and detail oriented, possess exceptional judgment, and be experienced in the ability to communicate the qualitative requirements for materials, products, systems, and workmanship clearly and concisely.   

 

Candidates should also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience in the design & construction industry
  • Experience in one or more of our market sectors (commercial, healthcare, aviation, education, data centers, and interiors) highly preferred
  • Licensed architect, CSI CCS, or CSI CCCA perferred
