Overview

We are seeking a Communications Coordinator with a focus on community engagement to join our dynamic team in Dallas.


The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and implement integrated communications and campaign strategies in support of Corgan’s K-12 clients. Corgan team members who excel are proactive, persuasive, enthusiastic and detail-oriented with strong time management skills. The position supports all Corgan locations and requires frequent collaboration with senior level executives, therefore strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with leading clients through a successful community engagement and planning process for school bond and voter-approval tax ratification elections.
  • Partner with clients to create and implement communication plans across multiple platforms.
  • Develop and execute strategy, messaging, timelines, and creative content for election campaigns and collaborate with appropriate teams to effectively execute voter information materials.
  • Create and implement strategies and campaign content for social media, including profile/page creation, managing posts, and executing targeted advertising.
  • Analyze voter information for clients and use data to drive decisions and tactics.
  • Guide community advocacy groups through a successful communications strategy.
  • Support the efforts of Corgan’s principals in business development, RFQ/Ps, award submissions, social media, thought leadership and public relations, as required.
  • Travel as needed for client meetings and campaign communication efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Highly skilled in both verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and Illustrator
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong visual communication and basic graphics skills
  • Knowledge of HTML and website publishing platforms and applications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work in a team-focused, fast- paced environment
  • Knowledge or expertise in K-12 public school districts is a plus
