  • Overview

    Corgan seeks a Senior Accountant to join the firm in our Dallas office location. 


    Primary responsibilities include:


    • Review the general ledger to validate coding for journal entries, invoices, expense report and check requests in accordance with company policy and GAAP rules and regulations
    • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    • Maintain and update fixed asset database, add and dispose of new fixed assets, verify accurate depreciation methods are being used, run and post depreciation and develop process to review and dispose of assets on a regular basis
    • Prepare monthly accruals, including project consultant accruals
    • Post payroll journal entries in accordance with payroll processing and reconcile journal entries to payroll registers on a per pay period basis
    • Prepare various surveys as required by government or other regulatory entities and various industry publications as requested by marketing and management
    • Review and post international transactions received from third-party accountants and international employees
    • Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM), Shareholders, and Principals regarding monthly reports.
    • Review and coordinate project financial performance with Project Managers and Principals
    • Present financial and educational topics to various officer groups
    • Coordinates with external parties such as audit and tax to provide financials
    • Responsible for developing process and procedures
    • Produce and create various reports as requested by the CFO, Controller and Assistant Controller
    • Prepare property tax filings and coordinate with third party property tax consultant


    Qualified candidates should exhibit strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills and at least 5+ years of accounting experience, or 4-5 years of public accounting experience.  Candidates should also have a strong understanding of general ledger, month end close procedures, ability to organize and meet deadlines, flexible with a positive attitude, and willing to work towards team goals in a high-paced, deadline driven department. Must have excellent computer skills (MS Word and Excel), Deltek Vision and Sage Fixed Assets experience is a plus. Bachelor’s Degree and CPA required.
